The Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB) IT Department is seeking a
talented team member to drive the implementation and adoption of an enterprise
content framework for the schools growing asset collection. We are undertaking
this critical effort to establish a centralized asset management repository
for the growth of ambitious new and existing programs throughout the school.
As the analyst, you will lead the establishment and adoption of a robust
content management system and develop a workflow to support the schools
instructional, research, marketing, and archival asset needs. You will
collaborate with faculty, departments, and centers, and partner with library
team members to develop, organize, and preserve digital collections, create
and maintain metadata, and facilitate use and sharing of digital assets and
other content throughout the school. The ideal candidate will be extremely
organized, have a high degree of technical expertise, and possess an
understanding of industry best practices for the acquisition, cataloguing, and
maintenance of digital and other types of assets. We seek energetic candidates
who have a passion to play a leadership role in defining and managing the
asset management lifecycle for the school, and possess the drive to implement
a successful user adoption strategy.
Responsibilities
* Lead the overall strategy, implementation and workflow of the enterprise content management (ECM) system; accountable for the product vision and roadmap
* Configure and maintain the system to meet user requirements
* Be the product champion, proponent, in-house advocate and expert in the ECM
* Implement and manage the process for ingestion of assets into the system
* Drive user adoption strategy; promote, train and support all users
* Serve as the liaison between the technology team and the business community
* Collaborate with the library team to implement a usable model of GSB metadata and taxonomy
* Unify the asset management process across departments to enable sharing assets in the ECM
* Act as primary liaison between the GSB and various partners (vendors) with regard to asset acquisition and standards
* Listen, learn and adapt to changes in the business needs regarding digital assets
* Maintain an active registry of system users and security
* Create and maintain workflow for the use of assets with ECM
* Develop and maintain standards, procedures and records for the system
* Keep informed of latest ECM technology trends and innovations, best practices and strategies
* Develop and execute a strategy for evaluation of existing archived assets; manage the transfer and curating of those assets into active working digital formats
* Oversee the technical management, maintenance and service of the system
* Review and test any configurations and/or customizations for the ECM
Required Qualifications
* Knowledgeable in asset life-cycle processes and procedures
* Demonstrated client advocacy focus and solid client relationship skills
* Proven ability to conduct hands-on system configuration and maintenance
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Demonstrated initiative, good judgment, and ability to achieve results
* Proven analytical and critical thinking aptitude and ability
* Ability to work in a team environment and build working relationships with vendors and cross-departmental colleagues
* Proficient in defining project scope, identifying requirements and applying systems integration and data management skills
* Four-year college degree or equivalent; minimum 3 years relevant experience
Desired Qualifications
* Leadership role in a major ECM deployment project
* Direct experience with ECM configuration and administration, preferably Alfresco
* Knowledge about integration with other systems (webservices, XML)
* Experience with Drupal a plus
* Knowledge of major metadata and taxonomy standards
* Experience working in a university environment
* Advanced degree desired; library science background helpful
* 5-7 years relevant experience
