Responsibilities: manage, implement, and develop library systems, servers, and
digital discovery applications; provide library system administration,
security, and support resulting in reliable operation and high availability of
the University Libraries' systems.
Minimum qualifications: bachelor's degree in computer science, information
systems/technology, or related technical discipline from an accredited college
or university; demonstrated understanding of Microsoft Windows Enterprise
roles and features, administration and dynamic web application development and
support experience; working knowledge of PHP, MySQL, JSP, and HTML development
technologies; effective oral and written communication skills; working
knowledge of basic Microsoft Office applications; ability to work some
evenings and/or weekends.
Preferred qualifications: additional advanced degrees, such as a master's
degree in computer science or MLS/MLIS degree from an ALA accredited program
at time of appointment; experience operating and administering Windows Server
2008 r2, Hyper-V, PowerShell, IIS web server or related systems; developing
and administering digital library systems and services; supervisory
experience; knowledge of and experience with library processes and procedures;
demonstrated ability to apply information technology solutions; knowledge of
or technical experience with Linux operating systems, digital library
applications and/or integrated library systems such as CONTENTdm and dSpace.
Salary up to $58,000 plus excellent benefits.
