It does seem that there are only expensive ways to get bibframe
development information. For example, updates are given at ALA that
don't seem to be available elsewhere. For anyone who doesn't go to ALA,
or who goes but has other obligations during that 2-hour slot, there's
no recourse.
I'm basically so frustrated with the lack of transparency in the
bibframe work that I can't even beat the dead horse on this issue. I've
nearly given up. It's ridiculous that so far I have provided the only
examples of bibframe data coming out of the bibframe software. Me. How
hard would it have been for LC or Zepheira to put some examples up
online so that people who don't code (e.g. 98% of catalogers) could see
what is being proposed? And yet, there is no discussion of the data even
though I see some glaring problems. It's like talking to some folks
about evolution: nothing's going to change.
What a way to start the day, eh?
Thanks, Ed. :-)
