current part-time opportunity for an Archives Reference/Digital Projects
Librarian.
Under the general supervision of the Technical Services Librarian, you will be
responsible for providing reference support for library archives-related
requests, developing the Library's virtual presence in its Digital Repository
and for providing support of the Library's ongoing technology efforts. Duties
include developing familiarity with the contents of the Library's Special
Collections, serving as the back-up administrator for the Library's cloud
server, assisting in managing content, permissions and users on that server,
and coordinating server-based applications and internal library technology
efforts which include content management, discovery tools, access services and
digital collections. Additionally, you will develop standards and guidelines
relating to web and server systems and participate in other Technical Services
Department activities.
Requirements include a Master's degree from an ALA-accredited graduate
program, research or law library work experience, and demonstrated aptitude in
the use of technology, including knowledge of and experience with web
architecture, design and administration (HTML, CSS, Javascript). Must be able
to work cooperatively in a team environment, have an understanding and working
knowledge of Content Management Systems, possess excellent interpersonal,
organizational and written/oral communication skills, and be familiar with
current trends, standards and emerging technologies in libraries and on the
web.
This part-time (.75) opportunity offers an annual hiring range of $41,576 -
$47,524 commensurate with experience and an excellent fringe benefits package.
