Above all you will have exceptional skills in the handling of structured data
in the context of a range of XML-related and web-delivery standards and
technologies (including all of the following: XML, XSLT, Python/Java,
Javascript/JQuery). The successful candidate will also have significant
experience developing web applications with Apache Cocoon, Apache Solr, and
working knowledge of standards-compliant XHTML/HTML5 and CSS. Familiarity with
ontologies (and the modelling of humanities and cultural heritage data) and
text processing techniques, together with would be highly desirable.

In addition you will need to have an understanding of how research is
conducted in the humanities and social sciences and you will be expected to
make a contribution to the departmental research profile. The successful
candidates will need to be able to work effectively as part of a team, as well
as independently. You should have good communication skills and the ability to
document work in clear written English.

The closing date for receipt of applications is 27 March 2013
