We used Xen to manage our data center for about 8 years. We used the Cirtix "Enterpise" version, but I believe that most, if not all, of the features we needed are now in the community (FOSS) version.
It was troublefree, and we would happily use it again, if we every returned to running a datacenter, which happily we are never going to do. We are now happy AWS customers and partners.
Thanks,
Cary
