Under the direction of the University Archivist and in consultation with
University administrators, appraises, schedules and recommends the disposition
of University records by assisting in the development and maintenance of a
comprehensive University records management programme which includes policies
and procedures for the creation, use, storage, retrieval, disposal and/or
preservation of University records in all media formats. Promotes the
University records management program and services to University
Administrators through the design and delivery of training sessions. According
to archival theory and university standards, appraises, acquires, arranges,
describes, preserves, and makes available for research purposes, University
records of permanent value. Works closely with UTL Information Technology
Services to coordinate activities in the area of preservation of the
University's digital-born archival records and advises on archival and records
management requirements for electronic record keeping systems. Provides
reference services to researchers and university officers wishing to access
archival holdings. Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications:
Education:
Master of Archival Studies degree; OR equivalent combination of education and
experience.
Experience:
Four years' archival/records management experience.
Other:
Strong service orientation. Ability to work independently and as part of a
team. Demonstrated good work performance and attendance record. Initiative.
Ability to communicate clearly, orally and in writing. Excellent
organizational skills.

Schedule: Full-time
Pay Scale Group and Hiring Rate: 12 -- $62,390 with an annual step progression
to a maximum of $79,787.Pay scale and job class assignment is subject to
determination pursuant to the Job Evaluation/Pay Equity Maintenance Protocol.
