On June 6th in Toronto, the Ontario Library Information Technology
Association (OLITA) is proud to be holding a one-day Digital Odyssey
conference with the theme of “Code, the Most Important Language in the
World.” The focus is on improving programming language literacy and
becoming active in code and our communities.
The event will include workshops on Learning Through Games and Train the
Trainer (Teaching Programming with Scratch) that you can bring back to your
library. There will also be sessions on running and participating in open
source software projects, using and developing APIs, and linked data in
libraries, archives, and museums.
Registration is $160 for OLA members and $190 for non-members. Register now
to attend a great event, and encourage your colleagues who may be
interested in learning about coding to register as well!
