The University Library is seeking an Operations Manager to provide leadership
and management within the Library Systems & Information Technology unit. This
position plays a key role to ensure the smooth and effective operation of the
unit, including providing input into business strategic planning, operational
decision-making, priority setting, recommendations for allocation of
resources, and in the management of the unit's contributions to projects
involving library IT and systems. This position leads a team of IT programming
and systems business analyst experts, and works with others within the
library, campus and library IT suppliers and vendors.
Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications, with an initial
starting salary in the range of $59,517 to $92,996 per annum.
Qualifications:
An undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or
Information Technology plus a Masters in Business Administration is desired; a
combination of relevant education and experience will be considered. Project
Management Professional certification is an asset. Candidates will also be
required to possess direct work experience managing IT units or functions,
experience and effectiveness in supervising others, and experience/training in
IT project management.
