DAMS Software Engineer

Bodleian Libraries are seeking a DAMS Software Engineer to join Bodleian
Digital Libraries Systems & Services (BDLSS).
BDLSS provides systems and services in support of the digital collections of
the University of Oxford. These collections include digitised books,
manuscripts, audio, video, and research publications and data.
As a member of the Development Team you will work on a range of research led
projects and specifically on tasks related to the ongoing development,
management and enhancement of software for a wide range of digital
collections. You will build on all existing technical aspects of this
collection including software development, upgrades, documentation and
security.
You will have a demonstrable knowledge of an object orientated programming
language, experience of implementing complex software and experience in the
design of web user interfaces. Experience of Python application development or
XML based technologies would be desirable.
This post is full-time and fixed term for 36 months.
Due to the nature of this post, the successful candidate will be required to
undertake a Disclosure Scotland check as well as a financial background check.
