Hi everyone (again):
2 announcements from Code4LibNYC:
*Workshops*
Just a reminder that Code4LibNYC <http://libguides.metro.org/code4libnyc>along
with METRO <http://www.metro.org/> has 2 workshops coming up on January 22,
2015.
The morning (9 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.) workshop, led by Brian Hoffman, will be a
hands-on introduction to Rails: http://metro.org/events/575/
This afternoon workshop (1:30 p.m. - 5 p.m.), led by Ben Armintor, will be
an introduction to Project Blacklight (projectblacklight.org):
http://metro.org/events/576/
We are still taking volunteers at either (or both) workshops to serve as
teaching assistants. Please email us if you are interested.
*Changing Organizers*
Unfortunately, Drew and myself need to step down from being Code4LibNYC
Organizers because of awesome new jobs and/or upcoming moves out of the NYC
area.
So, we are looking for people to help organize the Code4LibNYC events
starting this spring. Please email me if you are interested - and although
I'm moving, I will be available to help get folks started, if needed.
Thanks all!
