**DESCRIPTION.** Case Western Reserve University seeks a focused, creative, and collaborative professional for the position of Analyst Programmer 2. This position will be responsible for maintaining the key elements comprising the software and systems infrastructure of the Kelvin Smith Library.
Some of the primary components include
* Fedora/Hydra Repository (Ruby on Rails and Java)
* Oracle/Apex applications (SQL)
* Web management and applications (IIS and Apache)
The Analyst Programmer position is a non-supervisory position that reports to
the Digital Learning & Scholarship Team Leader. Working under general
supervision and within the Digital Learning & Scholarship team, the Analyst
Programmer is charged with investigating, creating, developing, testing,
implementing and maintaining computer systems and custom-built applications
for the Case community as related to the libraries' role in technology-enabled
information. The Analyst Programmer will also analyze, evaluate beta-test,
maintain, and support existing software packages for integration into the
university computing environment with particular focus on developing Digital
Case, a continually-evolving, Hydra-based digital repository
environment.
**RESPONSIBILITIES.** Develop, maintain, and support a host of library systems and applications and provide regular statistical and performance reports. Advise and make recommendations to KSL leadership about developments in used and available software. Engage with other campus technology units to maximize efficiency in delivery of services.
**QUALIFICATIONS.** Required: Associate's degree and 2 years related experience OR Bachelor's degree and no experience required. Prefer a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering.
**ENVIRONMENT.** The Kelvin Smith Library is a dynamic, technology-rich, and highly collaborative organization that is a member of the Association of Research Libraries (ARL), OhioLINK, and CNI. Supported by an endowment, the Freedman Center for Digital Scholarship integrates e-research and digital scholarship services.
