Associate Director to launch and lead a brand new Data Management
Program.

The Data Management unit is a greenfield opportunity to build a team, situated
within the library, that will develop cutting edge services for the UC Davis
campus, with visibility extending across the entire University of California
system.
The Associate Director, Data Management Program develops, implements, and
leads a program that enables the Library to contribute to the management and
accessibility of the university's research, including support of funding
agency requirements. Develops, coordinates, delivers, promotes, and evaluates
data management services. Data services includes consultation for faculty,
students, and research personnel on a broad range of data use and management
issues, including data description, discovery, citation and reuse, ownership
and sharing, visualization, preservation, and archiving. The position leads
and manages a small professional group of curators and GIS specialists.
This position reports to the Director, Online Strategy, and the salary range
for this career appointment is $5,966.67 - $13,125.00 monthly.
