The Smithsonian Libraries in Washington, DC is looking for a web developer!
This position is located within the Digital Services Division of Smithsonian
Libraries. The Digital Services Division encompasses the Libraries' website,
Digital Library, Wordpress blog, the Biodiversity Heritage Library, Online
exhibitions, and numerous digital projects, many of which have a strong web-
based component.
The employee is responsible for the technical development, coordination,
administration, management and maintenance of Libraries' Drupal website and
Wordpress blog.
Skills:
* Experience with Drupal 7 development. Theming is great,
Module development even better!
* Wordpress management.
* PHP, MySQL, Linux Command Line. Other languages a plus.
* Problem Solving, outside-of-the-box thinking.
* Tolerance for occasional bureaucratic nonsense.

The Libraries' website is filled with content of value to scholars, students,
and the casual visitor, including links to databases, a digital library
containing digitized versions of SIL collection volumes, online
exhibitions, research tools, and opportunities to donate.
