OLITA Tech Talks - Call for Proposals
Have you been working on an interesting tech-related project that you're
itching to share with the world? Do you have the inside scoop on a
groundbreaking new technology, or an innovative way of using old tech?
Proposals are now being accepted for OLITA Tech Talks at Super Conference
2018.
Each "lightning style" talk will have a strict time limit of 5 minutes,
plus time for a few quick questions from the audience.
Never given a lightning talk before? Pick up some tips here:

nt-to-give-a-lightning-talk/.
To submit your proposal, send an email to Graham Lavender, OLITA
Co-Planner, at [log in to unmask] by December 1. Be sure to give your talk
a title, and include a 3-4 sentence description - make it sound like the
exciting kind of presentation you would want to attend. You will be
notified whether or not your proposal has been accepted by December 8.
Please note that Tech Talks presenters are not eligible for the conference
speaker rate. This session is scheduled for 10:45 am on Thursday, February
1.
Questions? Just email Graham.

Fail Stories – Brought to you by OCULA
OCULA is bringing back last year’s popular session, “Fail Stories”!
At OLA Super Conference in February 2018 we want to hear about grand
failures in academic libraries...in 7 minutes or less! Tell us about the
beautiful failure: Was there an event that no one attended? Did a liaison
relationship go nowhere? Did an online tutorial crash and burn? Join us in
a supportive and constructive environment as speakers share their great
ideas gone wrong in a lightning talk format. You never know – you might be
inspired!
