The University of Idaho Library seeks an innovative, dynamic, and highly collaborative Open Education Librarian who will support and improve our burgeoning Open Education efforts. A significant focus of the position will be on partnering with faculty, librarians, students, and partners to create, adapt, and adopt open and affordable course content at the course and program level. Current initiatives include the ThinkOpen fellowship program for faculty (currently in its second year), leveraging library course reserves to accommodate student needs, and participating in state- and region-wide program and communication efforts with librarians from other institutions. Reporting to the Dean, this position will work within the Data and Digital Services (DDS) department and closely collaborate with other library units such as User and Research Services. This individual will serve as the liaison to the College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences and will perform collection development and library instruction as well as provide reference and research assistance as needed for faculty. An ideal candidate will have strong analytical, organizational, and oral and written communications skills as well as a commitment to Open Education and Open Access efforts.
