Apologies for cross-posting.
I am working on a book chapter entitled, "The Weight of Service: Library
Science and Mental Health" that will take an autoethnographic approach to
the concept of “emotional labor” as it relates to service work in the
library. Specifically, I want to consider the experience of library service
for people (myself included) who experience mental illness.
If you currently work in an academic, public, or school library, and are
interested in being interviewed, please email me at [log in to unmask]
Please also note that this call is open to anyone who works in a library,
and is not limited to degree-holding librarians. As such, please do feel
free to forward this to other staff members who may not be on listservs.
Because of the sensitive nature of this topic, interviews can be entirely
anonymous and will be conducted with sensitivity and and empathy.
In solidarity,
Siân
