The Ruth Lilly Medical Library provides the physicians, researchers and learners at IU School of Medicine with access to the world’s evolving scientific and biomedical literature. The Library and its staff work across all nine campuses, providing a collaborative learning environment with the information resources and expertise that are vital for preparing healers, advancing care and accelerating science.
As the technical lead for current and future operational needs of the Ruth Lilly Medical Library, you will use your project management and web development/design skills to drive innovation and continuous improvement of Library and web-based services. As Library Website Developer, you will be responsible for developing, designing, implementing, monitoring, maintaining, analyzing and continuously improving a professional Library web presence, providing access to the Library’s educational programs, services, and information resources to all nine School of Medicine campuses. As the Library Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for the integration, implementation, functionality, and updates for Library software and systems such as ILLIAD, Libguides CMS, and SirsiDynix Symphony, and aligning the Library’s strategic IT vision with that of the School’s Office of Technology Affairs. You will also have the opportunity to work on Library projects and initiatives, for example: Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality, exploring open-source solutions for publication management, and data visualization. The position will have a direct role in strategizing and planning for future library technology needs.
