Manages the Integrated Library System (ILS)/Library Services Platform (LSP), Sierra, and approves access and authorizations for accounts in the system. Ensures that all patrons including NEOMED faculty, staff, students, and the NEOMED Affiliated Hospital Libraries have appropriate and reliable access on and off campus. Uses the proxy and Sierra (loan rules, determiner table, etc.) to manage access. Works with the Content Strategist to verify which patrons should have access to which collections according to vendor licenses.
Other responsibilities include the identification and implementation of new ways to use technology to deliver information and educate NEOMED faculty, staff, and students on emerging technologies.
The Librarian in this position is forward-thinking regarding emerging technologies and library systems of the future and works collaboratively with the Content Strategist and library staff to ensure that the library systems are integrated well and meets the current and future needs of the University.
