MCLS is a non-profit, member-driven organization whose mission is to facilitate sharing resources and to collaborate with other organizations to benefit Michigan and Indiana libraries.
MCLS has an immediate opening for MICHIGAN STATEWIDE DIGITAL PRESERVATION NETWORK COORDINATOR. Working with libraries, museums, archives, historical societies, and other cultural heritage organizations throughout the state, the Network Coordinator is responsible for developing and promoting a financially sustainable digital preservation network in Michigan. This position is made possible by the Institute of Library and Museum Services. It is funded by the Library of Michigan, based at the Midwest Collaborative for Library Services (MCLS) in Lansing, and reports to the MCLS Executive Director. The position will involve some travel within the state of Michigan, and to conferences and other events outside Michigan. The position is initially funded for three years from the start date of hire, with the expectation that if a financially sustainable model is created, the position would be ongoing.
