Greetings from Sacramento. April classes are rolling along here at Library
Juice Academy, and we are getting ready for May. This email is an update on
ways we hope to be of help as stay-at-home orders continue in most places
and as professional development budgets are in question everywhere.
Our CRISIS10 discount code is still good, for 10% off course registrations.
Bundles of course registrations come at the same or greater discounts
(though different discounts can't be combined).
A bundle of registrations might work in your situation, especially if you
need to spend professional development funds by the end of the fiscal year
that had previously been earmarked for conference attendance.
Bundles are:
- good for one year from purchase
- discounted at a rate of 10%, 15%, or 20% depending on the size of the
bundle
- good for any number of courses or staff members
- made up of four-week courses, but customizable to include six-week courses
- flexible in terms of payment methods, whether in advance or over time
Registration credits in a bundle are used to register for classes through
communication between us and a point person on your staff.
You can write to me with questions about bundles, to request a quote, or an
invoice. You can also purchase bundles with a credit card here:
https://libraryjuiceacademy.com/product-category/product/bundles/
You'll notice that some bundles are meant for the courses in a certificate
program, and others can be used however you want.
For some consortia and organizations, we have also negotiated a discount
that we provide in exchange for advertising our courses to members. Write
to me if this interests you.
You can find out about our upcoming classes here:

I want to mention just a couple of the classes coming up next month. If
you're getting stir crazy you may be interested in our Mindfulness for
Reduced Stress course, taught by Katie Scherrer, who is also teaching
Bilingual Storytimes. If you would like to be enriched through a course
that isn't about a specific skill, you might want to take Exploring and
Applying Critical Theory for Librarians, taught by Jessica Critten. We also
have classes in May on cataloging, assessment, information literacy,
leadership, EDI, reference, digital libraries, readers advisory, early
childhood literacy, and coding languages.
Let me know if you can think of other ways that we might be able to meet
emerging needs in this time of disruption.
Best wishes for your health and well-being,
Rory Litwin
