NYTSL 2020 Virtual Social Hour
Please join the New York Technical Services Librarians for a virtual social hour.
Friday, September 25, 2020
6:00-7:30 p.m.
FREE & OPEN TO ALL
We've all gone through a great deal this summer, and the technical service work keeps on coming. Coinciding with the start of the fall semester, the NYTSL 2020 Virtual Social Hour is an opportunity for students, librarians, archivists, and information professionals from the greater metropolitan area to gather informally to meet one another and engage in networking and career building conversations.
Following introductions, attendees will split into two rounds of breakout rooms based around a theme or a short article to guide discussion. Upon registration, please indicate your interest in at least two of the four below topics. The NYTSL Zoom Tech will ensure that everyone makes it to the right corner of the party.
Topics to include:
* Technical Services During a Pandemic
* Decolonizing the Catalog & Diversity in Technical Services
* Linked Data Tools & Technologies
* Students & New Professionals Mixer
Participants are encouraged to settle in on Zoom with a celebratory beverage and weekend wear, just like in-person NYTSL Receptions of the past. As ever, no particular expertise or prior experience with NYTSL is required. We look forward to seeing you!
To select your two breakout session topics and receive the zoom link, please register at <http://www.rsvplinkwootwootwoot.com> https://www.nytsl.org/
