PIDapalooza is going online in 2021! The fifth festival of persistent identifiers (PIDs) will be a one-of-a-kind 24-hour nonstop virtual experience, free and open to everyone around the world: https://www.pidapalooza.org/upcoming-festival
Launched in 2016, PIDapalooza is the first (and, as far as we know, still the only!) conference focused exclusively on persistent identifiers and the communities that love, use, and need them. Designed as a festival-themed celebration, PIDapalooza has never been a regular conference, and #PIDapalooza21 is in keeping with that spirit. https://www.pidapalooza.org/gallery
The #PIDapalooza21 broadcast will go live on January 27 at 14:30 UTC (09:30 Eastern). Over the following 24 hours, the program will feature short, interactive presentations for and by both PID experts and PID newbies, including “PIDs 101” topics, region-specific sessions, and social breaks. The event will take place continuously across all time zones. You can join during your work day, or hop in and out of the virtual platform as much as you wish, or make it a marathon and stay online (and awake) for the full 24-hour experience!
#PIDapalooza21 is free but you must be registered in order to attend. Get your ticket here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/pidapalooza-2021-registration-123019983081
