The Greece Public Library seeks a Library Systems and Network Administrator to coordinate the installation, maintenance and operation of its public access and staff computers and other information technology equipment and systems. Working in coordination with Town of Greece Information Services staff and the Monroe County Library System Automation Services Department, the position will include the analysis and the resolution of library hardware and software network problems. Library experience is preferred.
The position will be available on or about April 15, 2021.
Hours: 35 hours per week (full-time)
Salary range: $45,569 - $66,570 commensurate with experience and skills with competitive benefit package and New York State Retirement.
Applicant Instructions:
Candidates must presently have competitive permanent status as a Network Administrator, or be willing to accept a provisional appointment and be reachable on a future civil service list in the title of Network Administrator.
Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma plus EITHER:
(A) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Technology, Data Processing, Management Information Systems, plus two (2) years paid full-time or its part-time equivalent experience responsible for the maintenance, configuration or installation of micro-computer hardware and software; OR,
(B) Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university with an Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Technology, Data Processing, Management Information Systems, plus four (4) years experience as defined in (A) above; OR,
(C) Six (6) years paid full-time or its part-time equivalent experience as defined in (A) above; OR,
(D) Any equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A), (B) and (C) above.
