Job Summary:
The Associate Director for Collections and Resource Services provides leadership and coordination for the development and administration of a comprehensive information resources strategy to support the research, teaching, and learning needs of Oberlin College & Conservatory. The position reports to the Director of Libraries and supervises a staff of 10+ including librarians, information technologists, and library technical assistants involved in acquisitions, cataloging, serials, processing, and the integrated library system. The successful candidate will have a positive, professional and team-oriented approach to working with staff and faculty colleagues. The ideal candidate will be well versed in all aspects of collection services such as e-resource management, consortial subscription packages, emerging metadata standards, evidence based/patron driven acquisitions programs, linked data technology and open access.
