The Harvard Library is currently seeking applicants with geographic information systems experience for our Geospatial Data Technician position. As a member of the Harvard Geospatial Library production team, the Geospatial Data Technician will contribute to data and metadata production workflows enabling and enhancing access to the university’s large collection of GIS and digital geospatial resources through our online repository, Harvard Geospatial Library (HGL) http://hgl.harvard.edu
This is a hybrid work environment role (remote and on-site) typically performed in a library/office setting. Training and onboarding for the position will be conducted primarily on-site with an opportunity for expanded remote work hours as approved by the department and as is compliant with Harvard University flex work policies.

Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. The amount will vary based on the position and the candidate’s relevant experience.
