The Systems Librarian facilitates innovative and collaborative efforts to support the Georgia Tech Library’s collection management, access, and discovery platforms. Partnering with library stakeholders and technologists, the Systems Librarian will serve as an administrator and main technical lead for the Library’s collection management and discovery systems, primarily Ex Libris’ Alma/Primo. Working both independently and collaboratively, lead projects and initiatives to improve workflows, implement integrations, assess Library tools, and find creative solutions to improve upon the management and discovery of library resources. This role has responsibility for maintaining optimal system performance for users and the development of services based on the functionality and capabilities of Alma and Primo. The Systems Librarian is expected to serve on internal and external committees and collaborate with partners across the state. This position will report to the Associate Dean for Content, Access, and User Services and work in close collaboration with Library Information Technology.
This is a full-time faculty appointment. Salary and rank are commensurate with credentials and experience. Minimum starting salary for a Systems Librarian I is $80,000 annually.
