Another software app you to consider is Beyond Compare (
https://www.scootersoftware.com/). Not open source, but inexpensive and
feature-rich.
It's rather coincidental that I purchased it specifically for use with
scanned microfilm files that will eventually make their way to Chuck's neck
of the woods.
