1. I agree with Joe. The amount of work you would be looking for, even
assuming a scenario where no maintenance is needed, would be *at least*
in the 4 digits. If you require a user interface, even more on the time and
money spent. I will say, there are open source programming libraries out
there, but without the technical knowhow, it's going to be an uphill battle
trying to use these libraries to the capacity you might need.
2. Blender is much more for 3D model/object creation, and a lot less so
for video editing. Depending on your project you might be able to create
the object, and then porting it to Unity, then recording your interaction
with it. You might also consider OpenShot for video editing and getting to
your goals in a different way. 3D modeling and animation is just a giant
beast if you don't have the time to sink into it.
