What seems to be the case is that account-specific URLs are created in the
order you login to your various Gmail accounts. You can see that order if
you click the account icon in the upper right hand corner of the Gmail
pane; the various accounts will be listed in the order you logged in. If
this is not the order you want them in, scroll to the bottom of the
drop-down list, click "Sign out of all accounts", and then login to the
Gmail accounts again, taking care to login in order you want them.
So, assuming you logged in first to your preferred account, it will have
the URL
https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#inbox
The second account you login to will be
https://mail.google.com/mail/u/1/#inbox
The third
https://mail.google.com/mail/u/2/#inbox
and so on.
Going back to the drop-down listing of the accounts, if you open each in
turn, you will see the URLs I've described above, in that order. I can't
remember how I puzzled this out... I only discovered this oddity when I
logged into my work account from home, but the synced bookmark was sending
me to a different Gmail account. I haven't found this documented either,
but it seems to be true for me. In addition, this behavior may be
browser-specific – i.e., if I were to open Firefox from a different
computer, I might have to repeat this operation again there there.
