Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to announce the Call for Contributions for the JCDL 2024 Doctoral Consortium. This one-day event offers PhD students the opportunity to present their work, receive feedback, and engage with mentors in the digital libraries field.
Eligibility:
- Students at or beyond thesis proposal stage
- Typically one year into a three-year PhD program (e.g., UK or Australia)
- Have settled on a topic, completed a significant literature review, and have an idea of methodology
Benefits:
- Present work and receive feedback from DL scholars
- One-on-one mentorship (subject to availability)
- Abstract publication in JCDL proceedings
- Potential scholarship opportunities
Submission Requirements:
1. 2-page extended abstract (+ references) in ACM 2-column format, including:
- 200-word abstract
- Research question motivated by relevant literature
- Methodology
- Early results (if available)
2. 500-word personal statement on interest and PhD progress
3. One-page recommendation letter from advisor/supervisor
