Core Responsibilities:
* Manage institutional repository, including workflows/procedures, policies, documentation, and metadata management, and provide curation services for scholarly and research assets.
* Teach workshops on data curation, processing, analysis, and visualization, giving researchers and students the tools necessary to further research activities.
* Guide research data management planning for researchers and sponsored research office to support grant applications and subsequent fulfillment of funding agency requirements.
* Contribute to institutional planning on research data related initiatives and advocate for best practices over the whole data lifecycle.
* Build relationships with students, faculty, and staff by providing discipline-specific research advice, proactively communicating about relevant resources, and making decisions about library collections and spaces that are informed by curricular needs.
* Teach research and information literacy skills in the classroom and in one-on-one meetings, modeling best practices from instructional design and the science of learning.
* Develop web guides and other learning and outreach materials that highlight library resources and exhibit universal design principles for accessibility.
* Contribute knowledge and creativity to the library, the college, and the profession by supporting principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion, working cooperatively, participating in campus initiatives, and engaging in scholarly and professional service activities.

Requirements
* Graduate degree in library or information science from an accredited institution, or its equivalent, required.
* Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, including the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, a passion for providing empathetic research support, a strong sense of accountability, and excellent attention to detail, required.
* Learner-centered teaching skills and outstanding oral and written communication skills required.
* Awareness of current best practices and funder requirements for data management and preservation required; experience managing research data workflows preferred.
* Undergraduate degree in a laboratory science or experience in a related field, preferred.
* Coursework in digital preservation and data curation best practices, or equivalent experience, preferred.
* Familiarity with or willingness to learn R, Python, or other language that is used for data acquisition, analysis, or visualization, preferred.
* Foreign language skills preferred, but not required.
