Hello colleagues,
I’m excited to make list members aware that the University of Glasgow Library is seeking a ‘Head of Collections Discovery & Systems’. Based in the Library Collections section of Library (which also includes special collections, archives, and the Hunterian<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hunterian_Museum_and_Art_Gallery> manuscripts), the successful candidate will bring expertise and leadership in the digital discovery, preservation, and management of the University’s internationally significant collection of books, manuscripts and archives. They will be keenly attuned to the heritage and library collections environment, with expertise in collections metadata and how this rich data can be optimized, shared, reused, and rendered interoperable. The postholder will also have opportunities to develop strategic partnerships enabling digital humanities projects centred on the Library’s unique and distinctive collections. And much, much more…
Full details of the post are in the link below (including guidance on relocating to Glasgow– if relevant). The deadline for applications is soon, and I must apologize to list members for not circulating sooner – but plenty of time to craft an application. 😊

Thanks, and all the best!
