We had PageMaker files we needed to deal with recently and unfortunately the only thing we could figure out was pulling an archived version of PageMaker from the Internet Archive<https://archive.org/details/adobe-pagemaker-6.5> and loading it into a Windows 95 VirtualBox environment so that we could open up the files and export them as HTML. Definitely not ideal, and I needed to work with a developer in my department to set up the virtual environment because that was outside my knowledge. Also, there wasn't a way to automate it, as every file needed to be opened and exported manually, but it got the job done ultimately.

Subject: [EXT] Re: [CODE4LIB] Is there any modern software that can open a PageMaker 6.5 (extension = .p65) file
LibreOffice opens a LOT of old file formats that nothing else current does. I found that it would open MS Word .doc files from a early '90s Mac that "modern" (10 years ago) Word just barfed on. Similar issue with WordPerfect files too.
