The Research Data Access and Preservation Association (RDAP) invites proposals for the program of its upcoming virtual summit on March 11 to 13, 2025.
The RDAP Summit occurs on March 11 to 13 with pre-conference workshops occurring on March 10 (each has a small additional fee).
The RDAP Association is dedicated to providing low-cost, accessible, and high-value events and anyone interested in learning more about research data management, access, and preservation is encouraged to attend. The program includes keynotes, lightning talks, posters, presentations, and workshops.
This year's theme is Evolutions in Data Services: Forging Resiliency. In the overlapping realms of data and information services, Resiliency has many meanings. It is often used to speak about technical capabilities - an organization's ability to recover from disruptions, attacks, natural disasters, or other incidents. From an information services perspective, Resiliency more commonly refers to the capability of staff and services to respond flexibly to evolving research and organizational landscapes that demand shifts in priorities, resource allocations, and departmental requirements. We encourage proposals that explore these or other concepts of Resiliency within the data and data services space and how these ideas change or drive change alongside the rapidly evolving field of data services. Presenters will have the opportunity to submit their papers to be considered for a special issue with our partner, the Journal of eScience Librarianship (JeSLIB<https://publishing.escholarship.umassmed.edu/jeslib>).
Registration is free for RDAP member presenters and half-price for non-RDAP member presenters.
Proposal Deadline: November 13, 2024
