Dear Colleagues,

I am Grayson Murphy, the Digital Preservation Librarian at University of Alabama at Birmingham. I am currently researching common challenges faced by new digital preservation practitioners.

I am looking for participants to speak about their experiences as a new digital preservation practitioner in virtual one-on-one interviews that will take 45 – 60 minutes. If you have worked in the realm of digital preservation for 3 years or less, and are interested in participating, I invite you to fill out the interest form linked below.

These interviews represent the first stage of a two-stage research project, and your participation will only be during the first stage. The purpose of this research project is to identify the common challenges faced by those new to the field of digital preservation and explore solutions to those challenges. The results will be used to create a resource that identifies methods of supporting new digital preservation practitioners through the common challenges they face. Your participation will directly and positively impact current and future members of our field.
