This workshop will feature:
A Fedora 6.x technical overview: Explore resource management, OCFL, and Fedora’s digital preservation capabilities.
Hands-on migration practice: Work through migrating a sample dataset using Fedora’s Migration Toolkit.
An introduction to integration strategies: Learn about community tools, like the Camel Toolbox, for integrating Fedora with your systems.
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of the workshop, you’ll be able to:
Confidently manage resources and understand Fedora’s digital preservation features.
Utilize the Fedora Migration Tool Suite for migrations from Fedora 3 to 6.
Integrate Fedora with your ecosystem using tools like the Camel Toolbox.
While this workshop is geared toward an introductory level and understanding of CLI is not a requirement, a general understanding of the role, components and functionalities of a repository would be beneficial. Attendees will be provided access to an online sandbox via a URL which will be provided ahead of the workshop.
