Good morning,
Thank you to Eric Morgan for giving me permission to post about this to
Code4Lib.
I've created a free web app called Wikipedia Seismograph that helps users
track and analyze public engagement with topics through Wikipedia data. The
tool identifies spikes of interest through pageview data, visualizes
engagement spikes, and enables users to create date-bounded Google News
searches with just a couple of clicks.
I've made a brief tutorial video (3 minutes) demonstrating how it works at
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-8XxxvQ6alY . If you don't like YouTube
I've also put it on my blog:
https://www.calishat.com/2025/02/11/a-3-minute-video-on-how-to-use-wikipedia-seismograph/
The tool is part of WikiTwister.com, a suite of six tools I've developed
for exploring Wikipedia and Wikidata. They're all free, free of ads, and
do not require registration. I hope you find it useful.
respectfully,
Tara Calishain
