It was great seeing everyone in Princeton this week — and having discussions about who might be able to host next year's conference. We are now soliciting initial expressions of interest in hosting Code4Lib next year, or in the next few years. Ideally, we would like to begin planning more than one year in advance, to make the process more predictable for both hosts and attendees. We plan to issue a more formal Call for Proposals on 4/4/25, followed by voting if multiple proposals are submitted.
If you are interested in hosting Code4Lib in 2026, 2027, or 2028, please reach out to the Local Planning Committee (Slack, email, etc. are all fine). We are available to discuss your plans, answer questions, or help in any way we can.
Also, to help potential future hosts develop proposals and get up to speed on hosting the conference, we have worked with recent LPC members to develop documentation on hosting and drafting a proposal: https://tinyurl.com/HTHC4L
