Hello Aurora,
Thanks for the prompt response. Frederick County Maryland Public Libraries (FCPL) uses CarlX ILS. Email to SMS delivery issues over the free consumer gateways have occurred now for about eighteen months, and a "hard cutoff" soon approaches for the AT&T email to SMS service. We would prefer to avoid having to write and maintain a custom SMS application.
Regards,
Wil Blake

Hi Wil,
I think for providing recommendations it may help to know what ILS you're using! There are definitely ILS neutral responses, but we could probably tailor advice more directly if we knew what integration options may already be available.
Sincerely,

Use caution with links and attachments.
Hello,
Have any libraries found low-cost SMS services for delivery of library notices like an on-hold item now stands available? Our library has relied on the "free" email to SMS gateways that major wireless carriers discourage for institutional usage.
