Hi Charles,
The "Data Saver" Android feature should prevent most of those. On my Pixel 9A, Android 15, it's under "Settings > Network & internet". Not using a Samsung phone right now, but if you search for "Data Saver" inside settings, you should find it -- probably under "Connections".
The Apps you mention, you probably won't be able to uninstall them, but at least you can disable them. Search for "Apps" inside Settings. One of the options on each should be disable.
All the best,
Filipe

Subject: [CODE4LIB] Turn off Background Mobile Data Usage
My esteemed lsitmates,
I learned on this list to visit Settings > Apps and press each app and the choose Mobile Data and then slide toggle Allow Background Data Usage to off.
I did that for each app on this Android Samsung AO3 using Tracfone when I got this phone 5 months ago.
Today I was showing a patron how to do that by example on my phone only to discover they had ALL been changed back to OK background usage!
I never changed them back.
Do you check this weekly, monthly?
What is changing my preferences without my permission?
There's app icons I never wanted but can't delete like ConfigAPK, Gaming hub, Samsung News, AR emoji, AR emoji stickers.
You press on the app but never get that Uninstall option.
Is there any way to set your cell to No Background Usage by ANY app?
Otherwise you have to click on each app - even the ones you don't want to turn off the background usage - weekly?
Thank you,
Charles.
