VuFind® 11.0 Released
Villanova, Pennsylvania - November 24, 2025 - Version 11.0 of the VuFind® Open Source discovery software has just been released. This major release includes several significant new features, many smaller improvements and fixes, and important infrastructural improvements to ensure the long-term compatibility and maintainability of the software.
Some key additions and changes:
- New self-service features for users: online payment of fines, and review and management of comments, ratings and tags.
- New optional third-party service integrations: Cloudflare Turnstile, ProQuest Federated Search Gateway and Zotero Web Library.
- A redesigned and improved “Channels” feature to drive serendipitous discovery.
- A streamlined, more flexible, and more consistent upgrade experience.
- Completely modernized (using Doctrine) database code.
- Audit event logging support.
- API key support for built-in APIs.
- Improved compatibility with PHP 8.4.
