Thank you to the over 200 community members that voted on how to proceed with the 2026 Code4Lib conference. It was close, and ultimately the community has voted to remain in person at a hotel in Philadelphia (43.8% of respondents had no location preference, 31.4% preferred Philly and 24.9% preferred Pittsburgh.) I am currently working with a hotel in Philly with whom I have worked many times over the years. I expect that we will have a contract in place and can announce the details of the venue in short order, sometime in the next two weeks. Note that we will have the same dates as previously planned, with the conference running Monday, March 2 - midday Wednesday, March 4, and workshops all day on March 5. Stay tuned for more information.
Please note that there has been NO outreach done regarding sponsorship for the 2026 conference, due to the evolving situation with scholarships and location. We could really use your help! If your organization (or another that you are familiar with) might be in a position to sponsor this year’s event, please let me know! We can either send you the information as soon as it’s available, or we can reach out to the person you designate at the organization and solicit support. This conference is heavily reliant on sponsorships so this is an all-hands-on-deck situation. Thank you for help in spreading the word!
