Good afternoon, Code4Lib folks,
I wanted to share that I've recently published a set of 3 OpenRefine-related blog posts. They've got some intermediate-to-advanced tips and tricks which might be of interest to this list.
*
Blanking down only within records<https://ruthtillman.com/post/openrefine-blank-down-hack/> - solving the problem of blank down traversing records if you have two back-to-back records with the same data
*
Repeating functions in OpenRefine<https://ruthtillman.com/post/openrefine-repeat-functions/> - this one was embarrassingly straightforward but I'd never seen it demoed and never noticed it, perhaps because one doesn't often have to repeat functions. I figured it might be useful for others as well.
*
OpenRefine project API basics/repeating functions<https://ruthtillman.com/post/openrefine-api-basics/> - I'd seen OpenRefine had an API and decided to investigate for the repeating functions task. It was an interesting exploration, though it won't be fully useful until I figure out how to make projects with it.
If I can find more time to play with the API (kind of a big if), perhaps there will be more forthcoming!
