Hello,

A related thread: we are interested in purchasing equipment to automate the
process of copying large numbers of CDs/DVDs to active disk or online AND copy
data from active disk or server to DVD in a non-proprietary, non-encrypted,
non-compressed format for creating an offline archive of the digital master.
Ideally, we'd like one piece of equipment that can do both.

Does anyone have experience with hardware that does one or both of these
processes? If so, how much is automated (not requiring too much human
intervention and monitoring)? Recommendations?

Also, do you use rewritable disks? Brand recommendation?

Thanks for any help you can give.
