This day long workshop will be held on January 9, 2004, from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm during the American Library Association Mid-Winter Conference in San Diego, California. The workshop takes place at the San Diego Convention Center, Room 6E. The workshop addresses the complex issues surrounding copyright. Topics include: "Copyright Basics in a Digital Age" "Get It Down in Writing: Institutional and Policy Issues" "Identifying Your Copyright Assets" "What Can I Do and How Safe Is It?" "The Permissions Process" Rina Pantalony, Legal Counsel for the Canadian Heritage Information Network, will give the keynote address.
