The University of Illinois Library seeks a talented professional to lead the Digital Services and Development unit (DSD). The DSD is a new unit that will be instrumental in the Library's investigation and application of emerging digital library technologies. Duties and Responsibilities: This newly-developed unit head position coordinates the Library's digitization of local print and analog content, as well as the development of effective mechanisms for managing, archiving and providing access to digitized and born-digital content of enduring value. The individual in this position organizes training programs, and fosters partnerships with Library and teaching faculty, students, and other interested groups on campus, and establishes regional, national, and international collaborations in matters related to digital content.
