Hi, There are no dependencies on OpenURL versions, no parsing is performed. The OpenURL Router redirects queries without touching the OpenURL "payload" at all. For example, if a university installs an SFX resolver with the base URL: http://sfx.ouruni.ac.uk/ Then if one of their users (at a recognised IP address) clicks on: http://openurl.ac.uk/redirect/?genre=journal&issn=12345678 Their browser will be redirected to: http://sfx.ouruni.ac.uk/?genre=journal&issn=12345678 The OpenURL Router just changes the bit on the left of the '?', and the stuff on the right remains unchanged. This is a policy decision: referrers can be assured that whatever they choose to construct will be delivered to their customer without us messing about with it. We didn't want to be setting ourselves up as the OpenURL Police! Sorry you didn't see a list of open access resolvers, there was a problem with the Athens system. These things are unusual and you were unlucky; though we were able to get Athens to fix it since you flagged it up! If you come from an unrecognised IP address, the Router offers you the option of identifying yourself with Athens. You can decline this, and then the Router will offer two choices: pick your institution from a list, or use an open access resolver. Unfortunately the Router is dependent on the Athens system displaying a web page, which it was failing to do, so you couldn't get past that option, but it is be working now (link still below)!
