There is an Egyptian librarian who has expressed a great deal of interest about the use of XML in libraries, but who has been fighting the lack of information and resources in his native land. He has recently been successful in receiving a Fulbright Scholarship to work and study in the United States in 2006/07. Although he will received placement assistance aimed at placing him with an appropriate institution, I'm sure there are institutions representing on these mailing lists that may be particularly well-suited to his interests. If you would entertain the idea of hosting this librarian during his visit to the United States, please let me know and I'll put you in touch with him. He can request placement at one or more locations in order of preference, although the final placement decision is made by the Amideast office in Washington, DC. Thanks, Roy
