HEAD, OPERATIONS GROUP (Supervisory Librarian)Congressional Research
Service, Washington DC The Congressional Research Service (CRS) seeks a
Supervisory Librarian to serve as Head of the Operations Group within
the CRS Knowledge Services Group (KSG), which provides authoritative
information research and comprehensive knowledge management practices to
the CRS research community and Congress. This position is being offered
at the GS-15 level ($107,521-$139,774).  The Supervisory Librarian will
be responsible for effectively managing staff in order to accomplish the
work of the Operations Group, which employs a full life cycle approach
to creating digital information products that meet the needs of CRS
analysts and Congress. The Operations Group also supports other groups
within the KSG in the analysis, conceptual design, deployment planning,
and tuning of information solutions; collaborates with the CRS
Technology Office and others on the development and implementation of
such solutions; and leads and/or facilitates projects related to
knowledge asset management planning, management analysis and reporting,
and training coordination. The incumbent will be granted a high degree
of independence, exercising considerable judgment in carrying out duties
and responsibilities in accordance with industry best practices and CRS
